WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN THE YUBA-SUTTER PICKLEBALL CLUB?

First and foremost, membership allows you to play at our exclusive indoor courts at Home Court, where, because we are indoors, we can play year round and beat the rain and hot weather. Home Court only offers Pickleball to members of our Club. Their facility is top notch and with up to date, modern equipment, they offer the best Pickleball experience in the region. Other benefits of Club membership include:

  • Admittance to all club functions such as Round Robin Mixers, intra-club tournaments, ladder play, social events, parties, etc.
  • Reduced registration fee for Pickleball clinics or lessons sponsored by the Club.
  • Reduced registration fee for tournaments sponsored by the Club.
  • Participation against other clubs in tournament play at other clubs in the name of our Club.

MEMBERSHIP FEES:

Single membership:   $45.00/year. If you sign up in 2017, dues paid, include 2018!

Family membership:  $75.00/year. If you sign up in 2017, dues paid include 2018

Membership fees are due each January 1 and must be paid by February 1. All new members who sign up after June 1 shall pay 1/2 of the appropriate membership fee. Any new member that signs up after September 30, their membership dues shall include the following year.

COST TO PLAY AT HOME COURT:

Through an exclusive agreement with Home Court, you can pay for a Pickleball Pass for unlimited play during exclusive Club hours for $30 a month on a credit card or autocheck authorization with no contracts or commitments, other than 30-day notice of cancellation. Alternatively, you can play a la carte by paying a $5 "drop In" fee and signing a new waiver form with Home Court each time you play.

GUEST PLAY:

A guest may play as a guest of the Club without becoming a member of the Club, but must pay the "drop in" fee at Home Court. A guest must join the Club after 2 plays as a "guest" to continue to play.

WHY WAS IT NECESSARY TO FORM A DUES-BASED CLUB TO PLAY AT HOME COURT?

Mamo Rafiq, former basketball player at Yuba City High School and owner of Home Court, is in the basketball business and not the Pickleball business. While he was willing to give us access and exclusive Club times to play, he did not want to commit the time, employees and resources to manage Pickleball. We do have the benefit of being covered by the insurance policy of Home Court, which eases an administrative burden. He asked us to be responsible to purchase our own equipment and supply volunteers to run Club play and events. A dedicated group of volunteers has agreed to take on these additional responsibilities so that Pickleball can grow and continue to thrive in our community.  Money collected from membership dues goes towards purchasing and maintenance of Club equipment and the administrative requirements of running the Club. We ask for your support by becoming a member.
