WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN THE YUBA-SUTTER PICKLEBALL CLUB?

First and foremost, membership is not required to play at Sam Brannan Park as it is a public facility. At Willow Glen, where, because we are indoors, we can beat the rain and other inclement weather, membership is required due to thier insurance requirements. Our Facebook page always updates play locations.  Our new facility at Sam Brannan Park (completed June28, 2019) is top notch and with up to date, modern equipment, it offers the best Pickleball experience in the region. Other benefits of Club membership include:

  • Admittance to all club functions such as Round Robin Mixers, intra-club tournaments, ladder play, social events, parties, etc.
  • Reduced registration fee for Pickleball clinics or lessons sponsored by the Club.
  • Reduced registration fee for tournaments sponsored by the Club.
  • Participation against other clubs in tournament play at other clubs in the name of our Club.

MEMBERSHIP FEES:

Single membership:   $45.00/year.

Family membership:  $75.00/year.

Membership fees are due each January 1 and must be paid by February 1. All new members who sign up after June 1 shall pay 1/2 of the appropriate membership fee. Any new member that signs up after September 30, their membership dues shall include the following year.

COST TO PLAY:

While we are outdoors at Sam Brannan Park, there is no charge for use of City of Yuba City facilities. So far, there is no fee to play at Willow Glen. We only have 1 court thre. We are working on expanding available indoor Pickleball in the future.

WHY IS IT NECESSARY TO HAVE A DUES-BASED CLUB TO PLAY?

We do have to provide an insurance policy to play at Willow Glen.  We are required to be responsible to purchase our own equipment and supply volunteers to run Club play and events. A dedicated group of volunteers has agreed to take on these additional responsibilities so that Pickleball can grow and continue to thrive in our community.  Money collected from membership dues goes towards purchasing and maintenance of Club equipment and the administrative requirements of running the Club. In addition, we are partnering with the City of Yuba City in the construction of a new modern 6-court Pickleball complex, expected to be completed by July 1, 2019. We are committed to providing this website and our Facebook page to promote Pickleball in our area and assiting the City of Yuba City in hosting tournaments. We are a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the Pickleball experieince in our area. We ask for your support by becoming a member.
